On the wings of Love ♥

Happy Valentine's Day to all my Pawsome bloggie friends!

My little Sis Aida asked Meee to tell her the story of Valentine's Day but instead, Meee decided to tell her a happy story called, "On the wings of Love".
So, as she got comfortable on the sofa with a toy,
Meee started:
~ Once upon a time, there was a little Yorkie boy who found himself unwanted and abandoned. A very nice Lady came to his rescue and took him under her loving wing and nurtured him back into a healthy little boy. While he was being cared for by this wonderful Lady, he noticed that there were a lot of other furbabies that needed her attention and she was lovingly caring for them too.

One day, when the little Yorkie boy was all healed, the wonderful Lady told him that a furever family fell in Love with him and he will furever be theirs and they will Love him just as much as she Loves him.
So from one wing of Love, the little Yorkie boy landed on another wing of Love which indeed turned out to be his furever one just like the very nice Lady promised.
In his furever loving home the little Yorkie Boy went thru some adjusting period in the beginning but because his new Pawrents had plenty of Love, everything worked out at the end and now he lives happily ever after :o)  ~

Aida said: "Wow Neeko! You kept mentioning the word Love throughout your story, it sounds like a big thing. What is this thing called Love?"

"Love is patient; Love is kind and envies no one.
Love is never boastful, nor conceited, nor rude; never selfish, not quick to take offense.
There is nothing Love cannot face; there is no limit to its faith, its hope, and endurance.
In a word, there are three things that last forever: faith, hope, and Love; but the greatest of them all is Love."

The magical thing about being Loved is that we can overcome anything that life "throws" our way. When we are showered with Love, we can return that Love into the lives of others making them feel important and special.
Love gives us that inner peace that is so important in our lives, the tranquility and the feeling that everything is going to be alright.

"Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives you courage." - Lao Tzu

After listening to my story, Aida said: "Neeko! I know now that I'm very much Loved" and Meee said, Yes you are my little Sis, Yes you are!

Love to all,
Neeko

P.S. Today's Joke :o)
After she woke up, a woman told her husband, “I just dreamed you gave me a pearl necklace for Valentine’s Day. What do you think it means?”
"You’ll know tonight,” he said.
That evening the husband came home with a small package and gave it to his wife. Delighted, she opened it--to find a book entitled “The Meaning of Dreams.”

The Tibbies ready for Valentine's Day ♥

Ray: "One more cookie please... "

                                                               and.....

Princess Aida taking office work very seriously...

Later,
Neeko :o)

P.S. Today's joke:
~ A man and a boy have been sitting out on a lake all day long ice fishing. The man has been having no luck at all while the boy has been pulling fish after fish out of his hole in the ice. The man finally leans over and asks the kid what his secret is.
"mmmmm mmm mm mmm mmmm mmm mmm," is the reply.
"I'm sorry, what did you say?"
"mmmmm mmm mm mmm mmmm mmm mmm," the kid repeats.
"I'm sorry, I still didn't understand you."
The boy spits something into his hand and says very clearly, "You've got to keep your worms warm!" ~

Neeko is baaaaaaack :o)

Before saying anything, Meee would like to say Happy New Year to All my Pawsome bloggie friends :o)

Well, all is good with my Pack except that now Meee has a new job which quite frankly, cuts into my social time great deal.
This is on top of having to make sure that my little Sis Aida is looked after, keeping up with my Yorkiespice family and writing a monthly column for the YTNR Newsletter which Meee feels very honored to be part of.

By now you must all be wondering what is this new job of mine that kept Meee away from my Pawsome bloggie friends... It is called the Munchie Grip and Meee was hired to be one of their Spokesguys :o)
My Mommy said that Meee would be very good at it because of my love of speaking for my own Pack ;o)
You can find a Facebook badge on the right side of my bloggie if you would like to check it out.
it is actually a very Kool product and we use it at our house all the time.

Check out my very good friends Zoe and Anastasia taking their treats with it...
Also my Bro Ray...
My Bro Leo...
Please let Meee know your thoughts :o)

Today's joke:
~ A police officer sees a man driving around with a pickup truck full of penguins. He pulls the guy over and says, "You can't drive around with penguins in this town! Take them to the zoo immediately."
The guy says okay, and drives away. The next day, the officer sees the guy still driving around with the truck full of penguins -- and they're all wearing sunglasses. He pulls the guy over and demands,  "I thought I told you to take these penguins to the zoo yesterday?"
The guy replies, "I did. Today I'm taking them to the beach!" ~

Later,
Neeko :o)

~ Believe ~ Yorkie Brigade Chapel Sunday's service

Meee knows, Meee has a LOT of explaining to do for MIA... between being gone for Thanksgiving visiting Florida and now getting ready for Christmas and not to mention having to raise (play with) Aida, Ooooh!!! My head is spinning...
Soooo to redeem myself, Meee thought you would all like to read this Sunday's message from the Yorkie Brigade Chapel where Meee has the honor of being the Assistant Pastor :o)

Greetings, Greetings, Geeeeetings Everyone!

Sooo good to see our beautifully decorated Chapel, packed today :o)
Before we begin Meee would like to shout a HUGE Happy Birthday to Mama Corrine!!!
May the good Lord shower you with great health and lots of happiness. Meee would not be standing up here today if not for you. May you forever be blessed for everything you do!

~ The Puppy bell choir just finished singing the Happy Birthday song ~

Today we have my Sis, Princess Aida as the keynote speaker. She prepared her message all by herself so her family is very proud :o)
Please, put your paws together in welcoming her to the podium...

~ Congregation clapping enthusiastically ~

Aida?

~ Aida sprints to the podium wearing a beautiful Christmas dress with matching topknot and she takes the microphone ~

Believe

Thank you all for having me here today and I would also like to wish Mama Corrine a Happy Birthday and second what Neeko said about her :o)
See, before I came to live with my furever family my life was very uncertain but a little voice inside, kept telling me that everything is going to be alright if I just keep believing.
Everybody would agree that at times, this feels like an impossible task but I believe that God puts us on this earth to be extraordinary and gives us the power needed for that. So when the going gets though keep the faith and keep believing that God has us in the palm of His hand.

Footprints In The Sand

One night a man had a dream. He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the LORD.
Across the sky flashed scenes from his life.
For each scene he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand: one belonging to him, and the other to the LORD.
When the last scene of his life flashed before him, he looked back at the footprints in the sand.
He noticed that many times along the path of his life there was only one set of footprints.
He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times in his life.
This really bothered him and he questioned the LORD about it:
"LORD, you said that once I decided to follow you, you'd walk with me all the way.
But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life, there is only one set of footprints. I don't understand why when I needed you most you would leave me."
The LORD replied:
"My son, my precious child, I love you and I would never leave you.
During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you."

So believe in yourself, have faith in your abilities and know that God always carries you no matter what!
Like Walt Disney said: "When you believe in a thing, believe in it all the way, implicitly and unquestionable."

Thank you again and have a Blessed Christmas and a Happy New Year!

~ Aida leaves the podium and the congregation applauds her message.
The Puppy bell choir is singing the Christmas carols. Neeko takes the microphone ~

Dear Lord, we now bow our heads followed by a moment of silence for the ones You called Home in the past few weeks. We ask You to hold in Your loving arms their loved ones who are grieving...

~ Moment of Silence ~

Amen!
Please, let us give a standing ovation for the outstanding job the puppies from the Puppy bell choir did today.
Their Christmas music sure filled our hearts with Joy and put us all in the Christmas spirit.
Well done! You all deserve an extra treat for your great efforts.
The goodies table is filled with pawsome deserts provided by Kung Fu Kori aka The Toyminator and her precious sister, Sweet Ashley aka The Ash Bug.
Hope to see you all back next Sunday for the pawsome Celebration of the Birth of our dear Lord, Baby Jesus :o)

Love and Blessings to all,
Neeko ♥

2011 Yorkie Ball Extravaganza

Hello, Hello, Hellooooo!

Meee is baaaaaaack with the most exciting news: The 2011 Yorkshire Terrier National Rescue Ball ♥
OMDogness... where to start?
Well, last Thursday, Oct. 13th, Meee and my Pack got into our packed to the max car and drove about 9 hours to get to Nashville, TN.

Upon arrival, we were greeted by Yorkie friends and their Pawrents at the Sheraton Music City Hotel. Wow! What a welcome... My former roomie, Kung Fu Kori and her Sis, Sweet Ashley were the first to say Hello to us
and Meee got to see again my biological Bro named Whiskers with his forever Mommy; could not believe my eyes... He is very Handsome with long hair and much smaller than Meee.
Friday night we had the first big pawty that included the Fashion show.
My little Sis Aida was presenting the 2009 weeding gown which was meticulously put together by MaryElizabeth Dugmore and our Mama Corrine
If you are wondering why she looks so stressed is because (Shhh... do not tell her that you are reading this) she fell in love with this cuuuuuuute little Dachshund puppy, named Jack and was not interested in anything else after that. Luckily when she walked the runway in her pink Princess dress it was before meeting her Beau.
Meee on the other hand, was all business walking the runway in my red tuxedo with my Daddy. Unfortunately the pupparazzi could not come up with a good picture :o(
Here are some other models walking the runway with outfits all made by my very talented foster Mama, Corrine

Sweet Ashley and Kung Fu Kori

Supermodel Reme featuring the 2011 wedding dress
Miss Chiklet

My Bros, LeoT and Ray were very good just watching the whole thing...

There were a lot of Yorkettes and Yorksters with Pawsome outfits and if you would like to see more, please click here

On Saturday, my Pawrents went to visit downtown Nashville while we rested up for the Big event
They saw a lot of interesting things while visiting...

My Mommy was trying to convince my Daddy to buy her the pink hat...

My Daddy at the Parthenon building
Originally built for Tennessee's 1897 Centennial Exposition, this replica of the original Parthenon in Athens serves as a monument to what is considered the pinnacle of classical architecture. The plaster replicas of the Parthenon Marbles found in the Naos are direct casts of the original sculptures which adorned the pediments of the Athenian Parthenon, dating back to 438 B.C. The originals of these powerful fragments are housed in the British Museum in London.

By the time they got back to the hotel, it was time to go to the Yorkie Ball :o) We were soooo pumped! You would not believe all the celebrities we got to meet for the first time in our lives...
Meee met  Gorgeous Mary-Margaret in the fur.  Her blog was the very first blog Meee read and right there in then, Meee told my Mommy that she needs to be my secretary for my bloggie.
Isn't she Gorgeous???
Before the dinner, she was asked to say the Blessings since she is the Lt. Chaplain of the Yorkie Brigade Chapel and she asked Meee the honor to join in since Meee is the Assistant Pastor of the Yorkie Brigade Chapel

Well, during the dinner, my Bro Ray got into trouble with the Lt. Chaplain because he decided to show her "a good time".  Gorgeous Mary-Margaret put an end to it immediately letting Ray know that she was NOT that kind of Girl... Ray had to do a lot of apologizing followed by Mary-Margaret's forgiveness. Thank Goodness because Meee was very embarrassed by my Bro's behavior. Just for the record, my Bros were told to wear their best manners in front of the Yorkettes at the Ball.

We also had the honor of meeting in the fur the Huge celebrity,  Miss Jilly with her team.
They entertained the entire Ball room with their tricks. My Mommy took some videos but they did not do justice to their performance so please click here to see them in action, recorded professionally.
Meee had no clue that Miss Jilly is in that video where you type in a command and she does what you ask her...
We also bought her book and it was pawtographed by team Jilly.

Rick Caran is generously contributing a portion of the sales to the YTNR Yorkie Ball Fund Raiser.

Meee also got the items that we bid on in the Silent auction.
The bed is mine but as you can see, my little Sis really does not care about that. Meee keeps telling her to stick with the purse she got

A very nice surprise my Pawrents got when they were given two beautiful brown carriers for us by the Yorkshire Terrier National Rescue

Unfortunately, all good things come to an end :o(
The Big Extravaganza was concluded by the very talented Dan Dugmore and Family; their music was just Pawsome.
Many Thanks go out to the YTNR for such an Unforgettable Yorkie Ball event. Meee is still in awe over it.

Back in our hotel room we were ready for bed

My Bro Ray snored so loud that night that we had to remind him that he was not alone in the room

We headed back home on Sunday and we had a Pawsome stop in Greenwood, IN where our Aunt and Uncle live with our cousins Annie and Simba
Simba is the Big Guy and Annie is the black and white Girl and if you must know, Ray was just in love with sweet Annie. We kept telling him that she is relative and it would never work out but he did not seem to get it...

Well, that is all for now! Meee is all "talked" out...
Later,
 Neeko :o)

Meee is baaaaaack with my Huge Surprise :o)

My Dear Friends Meee missed you all soooo much!!!

Well, my Pawrents went to Europe for ten days at the end of June and ever since they got back, Meee was begging my Mommy to help Meee with my bloggie but she had all kinds of excuses… Sigh... :o(
Have to admit that while they were gone we had a pawsome time at home with a very nice Lady that stayed with us the whole time. My Bro, Ray gained 1 ½ Lbs. and Meee gained ½ Lb. so my Mommy knew that we did not miss them much.

Meee is busy lately with all kinds of fun projects and the most important one is…

My new little Sister, Aida ♥

Her full name is Princess Aida Chi-Chi Spaulding and she is my age and was rescued by the same wonderful Humans that saved Meee, the Yorkshire Terrier National Rescue.
She had the same foster Mama as Meee :o)
Aida moved in with us on July 3rd and we were all very busy trying to make her feel at home. See, she did not have a very nice past so she came in very shy and afraid of my Daddy :o(  That made him feel bad and sad but with lots of love and patience, now she is better with him.

Now, with Meee and my Bros, she acts very though and tries to take over but Meee laid down the rules of my Pack (Neeko is the Boss) and she understands that most of the time.
Aida is a Morkie girl (Yorkie/Maltese) and we are all very much in love with her.
Check out her beautiful dresses that my Mama Corrine made:
This is her Princess dress for the Yorkie Ball that we are all going to in October ♥

Here she is with her pink hearts dress...
As you can see, she is very comfortable in MY lookout window...

This next outfit was made for our upcoming boating outing :o)

My Mommy asked my Mama Corrine if she could make Aida an outfit appropriate for the boat cruise that we go on every year and not only that she made one for her on very short notice but she also made her a hat to go with it and...
she surprised Meee with a vest :o) We just LOVE our foster Mama Corrine. The Lady that is the president of the Yorkshire Terrier National Rescue, MaryElizabeth, said that the vest was a gift for Meee :o) from them. Meee is sooo blessed!

Weee cannot waaaaaaaait for the doggy boat cruise that my Pawrents scheduled for Sunday, August 28th :o) If you have a moment take a look at my last year's Doggy boat cruise on Lake Michigan
My good Friend  Mr. Pip will be coming again this year :o) Yay!!!

Got to go now but not before Meee leaves you with my Joke of the post:
~ The flight attendant watched a passenger try to stuff his hopelessly overloaded bags into the overhead bin. Finally she informed him that he would have to check the over-sized luggage.
"When I fly other airlines," he said irritably, "I never have this problem!"
She smiled and said, "Sir, when you fly other airlines, I don't have this problem either." ~

Mr. Pip's Red Door Animal Shelter's Gimme Shelter Walk

Meee and my Pack had a Pawsome outing this past Sunday :o)
Weee met up with my best Friend Mr. Pip for the Red Door Animal Shelter Walk. Pip was adopted from them and this was his 10th year doing this walk. Pawsome job my Friend and Congratulations on you Big assignment!
Well, Meee should not say Walk because Weee did not get there in time for it... but the important thing is that Weee made it in time to meet up with our dear bloggie friends like Miss Lily and her sweet Mommy.
Lily is even cuter in the fur :o)

Check out the pictures that my Daddy took...
Here you can see Miss Lily with her Mommy and Meee with my Pack

Weee found Mr. Pip who was taking a break from helping his Mommy

Meee thinks Mr. Pip has a crush on Miss Lily

My Pawrents are a bit nuts with that camera; wish they would "drop" that thing...

Please, make the flash stop already... Sigh!

Awww... Miss Lily comfy in her Mommy's arms ♥

Thank you Pip for inviting us to such a Pawsome cause!

Meee will be MIA for the next two weeks because my Pawrents will be on vacation :o(
Meee will return with a Big Surprise :o)

Later,
